February 21, 200521 yr Can anyone recommend how to backup FS2004 when the size exceeds 10GB? I have a DVD-burner, but its capacity is only 4-5GB. Thanks for any suggestions.

February 21, 200521 yr Well...My FS2004 folder totals 19Gb!!!So I have also splitted into 2 disks but after compressing.1 zip containing everything except AddonScenery and Aircraft folders, totals approx 3.6Gb1 zip of the Aircraft folder, totals 1.6Gb1 zip of the Addon scenery folder, totals 1.9Gb.Disk 1 made in UDF format (won't work in ISO) with the main zipDisk 2 containing the other 2 zips.It sure takes a while (> 1hr) to compress each part but the reward is that if you indeed need to use the backup at some point it will save you days of installing all the addons you have.George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg

Do you just reinstall the original .exe-file then - as out of the box - and replace the aircraft folder and addon scenery folder with your own stuff? :-)
February 21, 200521 yr In case needed I won't reinstall anything!Just create a folder and unzip the backup zips!!!All my settings and everything will be there. The required registry entries will be automatically created by FS on the first run.George DorkofikisAthens, Greecehttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/betaimg.jpg
