Beta of new version of Scenery_Align

Featured Replies

Hello - I'm planning a release of Scenery_Align with some new features, and am looking for some beta testers. It's a freeware release - an earlier version is available here at Avsim.First, here's the description paragraph that outlines the features:"Power tool for those of you directly editing scenery.cfg to manage your sceneries. Easily switch sceneries between high-altitude flights, and VFR flights with photoreal scenery by enabling/disabling groups of photoreal sceneries and switching fs9.cfg files to switch graphics settings. Programmable buttons allow quick access to scenery.cfg and six other files/directories/websites of your choice (such as your scenery directory, active and alternate fs9.cfg, scenery.cfg, Avsim). Still has its original feature, re-numbering and re-layering scenery.cfg entries in the order they are listed in the scenery.cfg file, to facilitate manual editing of the scenery.cfg file. Enhanced backup support for all operations. Supports both FS9 and FS2002."The file is available at http://www.softtoyssoftware.com/SceneryAlignBeta.zipThere are some notes in the file about the beta and feedback I'd like. Also, your qualifications - you should be experienced and comfortable in using the scenery.cfg to manage sceneries. Best if you have some VFR sceneries. So if you're a scenery installation geek and interested in trying the beta, use the link above and please read and follow the enclosed beta notes. Thanks -- Dick Bixler

Embarrassingly, I found I had overwritten a section of the readme describing programming of the buttons... I've put up a new build that includes the proper readme. It also has a change allowing you to open an application from a button without specifying a target file for the application.Dick Bixler
