route discontinuity

Hi All

Please can you help me...

 

I have loaded a route in fmc for the wilco 777 and after selecting runway and sid I get a route discontinuity which I cannot clear.  I have clicked on the waypoint below then on route disc line and it does not clear, same with delete and clr buttons.  Please can someone advise me on this.
