April 10, 200521 yr One of my aircraft.cfg files contains over 1400 aircraft. VIP3 set.Since this presents a problem and incompatibility in my FS9 system, I was wondering if it's possible to somehow "split" this, so that I have say 3 files and/or folders containing all the aircraft and textures, but each with say 500 entries. Important is that they maintain the functionality (for instance, if vip folder is named vip1/vip2/vip3). Will that work???
April 11, 200521 yr Not sure why nobody has answered. I could be wrong but seems pretty simple to me. Just copy the aircraft directory 3 times. Then edit the Aircraft.cfg files in each of the directories, remove 2/3's of the aircraft entry sections, renumber the header for each aircraft entry, and you should be good to go.Correct me if I'm wrong, or let me know if you didn't understand my instructions. I pity you on the renumbering phase, however, but I imagine there are tools out there that can automate that for you.Thomas Perry
April 11, 200521 yr Thanks for your reply. Well, exactly this kind of pity am I trying to avoid. And I made it, with replace commands in Word and Excel. And numbering in Excel. But, it didn't change what I needed.
