Are yaw dampers correctly implemented in FS? It seems as though all they do is lock out rudder input. Do any 3rd party aircraft have a correctly implemented yaw damper? I have yet to see one. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it just take programming the autopilot to apply rudder to center the ball while the YD is activated?

I haven't seen a correctly implemented one either. Have you also noticed that unless a given panel has a custom programmed autopilot, the A/P controls pitch attitude with pith trim only? I'd sure love to see the default A/P control pitch with elevator...Nick

Even if they were implemented properly it would, IMHO, be impossible to tell because the flight model is not up to replicating dutch roll and lack of control damping at altitude.
