May 3, 200521 yr JasonThe file might not have been added to the library yet. I have asked for the older versions to be removed to stop any confusion. This is a complete new model that has retained the old colour scheme, but that's about all.It will be under fs2004 original aircraft, yakolev yak John
May 3, 200521 yr Very Nice indeed John, I havent got it yet, but by the looks of those Screen Shots ill be flying Yaks tonight :).I will defenitly provide you with some feedback, pn this.Jason
May 3, 200521 yr Hi John, Ok I have some feedback, Now before I start, Im just giving you some feedback based my own simming expereince, and not based on any real world stuff or anything like that. Also I love this plane, and I think your rendition is great.Ok here we go.Flying this beauty:::Take off: Seemed to need a lot of trim to get it up.Level flight: Again I had to fight with the trim to keep it level, she certinly likes to keep her nose down.Landing: She behaved nicley except for trim, described above.I think I have my controls setup propley, so Im not sure what your take is on the above.Visual Model::The lights on the end of the wings seem to be detached from the wings, and hence float below them.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/115085.jpgUpon applying the breaks after landing she tends to nose up quite badly, again not sure about this, just letting you know.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/115086.jpgNo for my wish list :)More animations, opening engine cowling, some more paints including an english one with maybe more detail in the paints :)Thats it.Once again John, please dont take offence to anything I have said, it may just be me, I am just providing feedback on my expereince with your wonderful addition to my hanger. As for my wish list, I feel I have to let you know, as this is one awesome plane, plus I dont have the talent to produce what you have.Dont think I dont have anything good to say, Im just pointing out the things that I have seen or thought strange. Thanks John and I hope this helps.Jason
May 4, 200521 yr JasonThanks for the feedback. All I can say about the nav lights is ooopps, it needs putting right, my mistake. The trim issue you mention I do not understand, I let three people have a copy of the yak for testing and they found the handling to be ok. I myself have tried many settings of realism etc and found no problems. As for your wish list, yes, good ideas.I will look at the handling again tonight.I am glad that overall you think the yak is a good likeness of the real deal.ThanksJohn
May 14, 200521 yr hi john, Just loaded your 52,(one of my favourites),but having problems with inst. panel. Airspeed,Gear lights and horizon not showing on panel! Can you help please.
May 15, 200521 yr HiThe three gauges you mention are included in a folder called 'yak52_gauges'You need to copy the contents of this folder to your fs9 gauges.typical location of this is:c:program filesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9GaugesOf course this will change if you installed to a different drive. If this does not cure your problem get back to me and we can try to sort it out for you.John
May 15, 200521 yr I have already copied the guages folder into CP.FM.G.FS9GUAGES,as you suggested,Below is the current folder list- -Guages guages -yak 52_guages GUAGES I dont know whether this helps or not-i think i have missed something out somewhere! malc.
May 15, 200521 yr MalcNeed to check this with you.Copy the contents of the yak 52_gauges folder into the fs9 gauges....NOT the whole folder.ThanksJohn
