Strange FS9!!

Featured Replies

Hey guys/galsI have had no problems with my FS2004 all these years..but when I made a new installation on a new HDisk..I have been having problems.!!!On loading....it gets stuck at 77% (at load wx) I more or less FIXED it by ticking CLEAR WX!!! before loading. After the DEFAULT a/c is display at KSEA and I just test flew the plane..then the outside world went "funny colors" with NO scenery...like as if it "pysceldelic colors" all of the sudden. In some instances the 2D view is available..when cycle the views it is just bleeding colors!!!!Don't know what causes this and if anyone has this kind of experience would kindly help me with a solution???Thanks

I'm no expert here but I believe that the first thing that you need to do is enable the "Render to texture" option. Look in Options > Settings > Display > Hardware. That should fix the load wx problem. Most of the time when I've heard about the "funny colors" syndrome, It has turned out to be a video card driver problem, IIRC.R-

The first thing that crossed my mind is that maybe you have a modified texture e.g. for clouds. Maybe it is not acceptable in your setup. In addition you can erase your fs9.cfg and let it rebuilt itself when you next start FS. Or reinstall your graphichs card drivers.Regards,
