Need help on AFCAD2 use: aircraft sunken into ground

Featured Replies

Hi there, can anyone please help me?What you see is Zurich Kloten from FlyLogic with AI aircraft sunken into ground (there are also statics and are ok). I have tried different AFCAD but had no luck at all. What i need is a little help in rising airport (if possible). Thanks in advance for helpingLuigi ;-)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/117261.jpg

Those sunken airplanes give me the creeps every time I see them! A bit like sharks in water, also reminds me of the opening shots for Airplane! I would suggest that the field in the addon scenery has a higher elevation than the default. Really this should be fixed by the scenery developer if it was supplied as being suitable for FS9. I know of other payware scenery that has had this issue fixed by the developer. You can confirm this by temporarily disabling the scenery (no need to remove the AfCad file) and then look to see if the problem remains with the default scenery at the same airport. If it is OK then what I said above is probably right so I would first suggest contacting the developer for advice. If you cannot get support from the supplier, you could try a program called JABBGL available here in the library, but be aware that it involves modifying a default scenery bgl file so you should save a copy of the original file and put it somewhere safe where it cannot be read by FS before modifying.

I had the same problemSo after hours and hours and hours and unistalls and re insallsI did a reseach with JABGL (a program available in AVSIM)and I found in my EURW scenary a second bgl file ap 950150 on top of the one at EURE which is AP950150which I installed for a previous Zurich scenary which had the wrong altitudeI deleted this file and guess what ....it is working perfectMakis

Hi there,i edited my AP950150.bgl in SCENERYEURW using JABBGL and now Ai At LSZH look fine; hope i didn't corrupt anything else into file.Anyway i did a backup for conveniencethanks a lotLuigi ;-)

Glad it worked!
