May 22, 200521 yr Hi All,anyone know how to contact the team please,I have the plane and some additional re-paints by others, wow, what a plane, but, I do find the prop spin up and down very fast, and was wondering if this could be slowed down, this would make it much much more realistic, but this is in no way meant as a slant on a fantastic product, just a question, thanks.
May 23, 200521 yr Add the line: prop_anim_ratio=somehwere in each section of the aircraft.cfg and experiment with some different values after the = sign. (The default value is 1.0)-Davidhttp://img250.echo.cx/img250/2845/b18sig5kd.jpg
May 23, 200521 yr Depends on when the spin up, spin down your are refering to is.If when starting/shutting down engines, its actually way too slow. In the propeller section of the aircraft.cfg file there is a line entry propeller_moi=120, drop the number to around 40.5 to get it pretty close(haven't found a number I like just yet 40.5 is a tad off)If you refer to when moving the power levers, there should be no change, The props are constant speed, so spin at a 100% RPM no matter the power lever setting. Speed/thrust is controled by blade angle. The only time they don't spin at 100% is when they are in the "low RPM" setting, which about the only time that is is on start-up and during ground taxi. There is very little visual change when the do shift between low and normal. Notice the sound difference before/if you even do notice the visual difference. They normally only use the #2 engine to taxi so it will be in "Normal RPM" and #1, #3, & #4 are in "Low RPM", if the #1 & #4 are even online. Most crews will start all four on spot before taxi, prior to flight, but on landing will shut the outboards down taxing back to spot.:-outtahttp://publish.hometown.aol.com/p3superb/i...s/sign_name.jpgThere is a fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness".- unknown"My daddy gives me up, to fight for you"- a US Military Members Child
