My brother and I share a cpu for the froums here. It listed under his e-mail account. I am new he has been at this a few years. I went and got a seperate e-mail address at hotmail and then tried regestering as a individual member. This resulted in a error message stating that the e-mail domain was not accepted due to being flagged by a filter (or somthig like that). Then I went to Yahoo and opened an e-mail account, retried and the result was the same.OK, them I called msn.com and was told that even though my brothers e-mail account (the one he origionally joined here with and is still active with) ended with @msn.com that a new account ending with hotmail.com was no different on there end of things. (I realize this is MS opinon and I am not here to defend or reacule just trying to sigh up as an individual). So then I look back over things and it did not work with Yahoo either. The e-mail account which is the membership of my brother and the one I am using here is a msn.com account. He and I share this one and then have a seperate e-mail in msn.com and as stated hotmail.com To top this you cant use my brothers current e-mail account for another membership here becuase agian you get an erro that the e-mail is assigned to another account, in this case my brothers. Yet if I attempt to use a different e-mail address that is alive and legitimate I get flagged. I wonder if the fact we both use this PC somhow cuase an issue like the server regognizing our IP number or somthing simuliar.Well my hour is up for the e day and I will look for any ideas.I posted the message here as I am hoping that being in a central place will allow for more people to see this and offer some ideas. Some of the more specialized areas looked a bit more isolated. I am just trying to have my own account here (agian the two e-mail addresses I listed are now set up for me, and also this pc (in case the ping, IP or whatever is a problem from using the same pc.)It will be awhile till I get a seperate pc. Thank you for any help.Need to go for now.

Although this isn't the forum for such a post, in a nutshell, anonymous email addresses like hotmail and yahoo aren't allowed when registering in the forums. It keeps the forums safe from spammers to start, and also makes members here slightly more accountable for what they say. If you are using an ISP to get to the Internet, that ISP should provide email service. You should be able to use that ISP's email address they provide you to join. My ISP allows me to have five additional addresses--one I use strictly for forum memberships, and nothing else.Hope this helps..-John
