May 27, 200521 yr Hi everybody,I was wondering if anybody knew how to open .pdf files inside the kneeboard. I have tons of charts and approach plates in .pdf format however, I can not find a way to use them with out pausing and exiting the sim. Thanks for any help.David
May 27, 200521 yr I guess I might have to print them out. I fly all over the US so I can see myself printing out a ton of them. That is why I was hoping for a way to open them in FS. The other day I saw a program that lets you open .pdf sectionals inside fs, but I can not remember what the name of the program is or where I saw it. Has anybody heard of such a program?David
May 27, 200521 yr I too print all mine out and keep them in a ring binder, i do the same with checklists etc. very handy to have them at hand without cluttering up the screen i find. (thats if i even use them :))I fly in the UK mainly and was lucky enough to have my dad (who is in the RAF) get me 4 or 5 books full of approaches and airport diagrams for most of western Europe :) and to be honest I barely use them. So i've never really had to view them using the kneeboard.
June 7, 200520 yr Hey, you are probably looking for something like FSBrowser (http://www.hifisim.com/downloads.htm) or FSX-ionals (http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004misc&DLID=53519).Opening .pdf files in them is kinda a little tricky...you have to start adobe acrobat *before* you start FS. If you are looking for sectionals in .jpg format, you can find them in the library by searching for "matt fox" or if you have lots of bandwidth you can get them all at once here:http://zovirl.com/2005/maps/sectionals/
