June 2, 200521 yr Hi,I posted this question yesterday, and while there were 21 views, there were no responses. So, let me try rephrasing my question.I saved a flight the other day while the autopilot was turned on, and the fuel was off-balance (left tank was half full, right tank was full). Then, when I created new flights in different aircraft and different airports, the same configuration was there, i.e., all of my aircraft started on the runway with the autopilot turned on and the fuel way off balance. Obviously, this is a problem. How can I start a new flight without having the same settings as a flight that I previously saved? Thanks.
June 2, 200521 yr >How can I start a new flight without having the same settings as a flight that I previously saved?I start all of my flights from the "Previous Flight" situation. If I intend to go to a new starting point and/or use a different airplane, then I go through a step-by-step procedure.- Click Flights > Flight Planner...; delete the old flightplan, load another existing plan or create a new one, answer Y or N to the "Move Aircraft" question as appropriate.- Click Aircraft > Select Aircraft...; to choose a new plane or update a flight number.- Click Aircraft > Fuel and payload...; to set fuel load.- Click World > Time and Season...; to set date and time.- Click World > Weather...; if I wish to change the weather. If I skip any of these steps, then i'm stuck with whatever was loaded into the old flight. Relating this to your question, if I skip the third step, my new plane would have the same fuel imbalace as the old flight. This is how I've always done it and it works for me. The only way that I know to do otherwise is to start each session from the Welcome screen and that's a bother.R-
June 2, 200521 yr Thanks for your help! It looks like I need to actually go through the process of planning a new flight (using Flight Planner) to get rid of previous aircraft configurations, rather than just create a quick flight with no plan, which is what I did.

I always use a flightplan and it is a quick way to get myself to a new airport, as well, if that is my goal. For your stated purpose, you'd just need to complete the third step to load fuel and the second step if you wanted to change planes. R-
June 3, 200521 yr Also, don't have `use default flight` selected in options or with ANY of the flights saved with the default box checked. This means the sim loads to the flight selection page, so you can choose ANY of the saved flights in the folder with ANY configuration. It then loads the configuration selected. To make things easier you can always rename the default flight to DEFAULT XXX, but don't use the checkboxes.Allcott
