MAAM AI aircraft

Featured Replies

could you please tell me how I can make my own multiple planes flying as a group of say 10 to 12 aircraft would it be possible using flightplans, ttools and afcad etc

I did something a bit like that the other day. I setup 4 AFCAD files at the same airport using different comm frequencies for each and with runways running parrallel to each other. I then added gates, the closest being about 200 feet from each runway all of them facing the runway. Next I set up seven AI aircraft to take off at the same time spreading them as evenly as possible across those parrallel runways adding gates where required of course (each runway has one end closed for landing and take off which keeps takeoff times as close as possible). Two of the aircraft are the same and they fly the same route a mile or so apart for about 200 miles, drives ATC mad but who cares. Believe it or not I had a genuine reason to set that up and I cannot imagine you setting up 12 parrallel runways using 12 overlays but you did ask ;-)Before anyone comments I did have a genuine reason and it did happen in the real world but in that case there were about 20 aircraft! Otherwise a completely unrealistic way to fly unless of course you are in WW2 and part of a bomber squadron. It does work and takes ages!Andrew Brownhttp://www.gordiusfs.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

Just an experiment I want to try, my lad is doing all the work, I'm just flying with them, :-walksmile

I'd say go for it m8. I did! BTW watch yourself on take off I have collided with a Boeing 247D more than once lol. I would like to know how it goes, please let us know.Andrewhttp://www.gordiusfs.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
