FSX Crashes with PMDG 747-400

Hi,

 

Well...I've gotten deep into using the PMDG 747-400 with FSX. My complaint is that I get about 3/4 of the way into a long trans atlantic (KLAX - EGLL) or Trans Pacific (YSSY - KLAX)...and the FSX has a "fatal error" shuts down and restarts.  Of course I completely lose the flight and the hours in my flight log.....more aggrevating is that i don't get to finish a long flight and land my plane. Anyone else suffer this issue?  It really is quite frustrating.  I only have this issue with PMDG.  My other add-ons don't suffer this problem.  Any suggestions?

Could you go to your start menu and search for Event Viewer, and open it.

When it loads, expand the Windows Logs folder and click on Application.

The entries should be sorted by time occurred, so you should be able to find the time and date your sim last crashed, and find a fsx (Will be displayed in the 'Source' column) entry with a red exclamation point next to it. If you click on it and copy the message below and paste it in a reply, that would help a lot, as we could find the faulting module.
