Then just follow around the states; you'll know from life what are the principal cities and you can make a 48 state circuit. I did one although it took longer than I thought and some of the state capitols, for instance, aren't the best/biggest airport in the state. Case in point; my own state of WA, capitol is Olympia, there's a field there but Seattle's SeaTac Airport is the set down of choice. After you're in the air over any particular state you can see airports pop up as you fly. If you have FSNav you got it made.:D
June 22, 200520 yr Go to a used book store and find the book "Flight of the Cannibal Queen" by stephen Coonts (he also wrote "Flight of the Intruder" and the other Jake Grafton Naval aviation novels. Cannibal Queen is name of his airplane, a Stearman I believe. The nonfiction book details his trip around the country. It has been several years since I read it but I seem to recall that he landed in each of the 48 contiguous states. Read the book and retrace his route. R-

June 22, 200520 yr Hey!Didn't know anything about this Coonts book. Thanks for the information and link to it.I've always wanted to do a VFR flight around the USA, but haven't had time to make plans. This series of FSNav plans is perfect! Thanks again.
June 23, 200520 yr Heh heh heh! I started another 'round USA flight yesterday. Left KSEA bound for Boise, ID. Then on to Helena, MT. I'll be going across the upper strip for awhile; I'm thinking 'bout doing a spiral and ending someplace in the middle. I still have the cross-Canada thingie going but wanted to do this one after I'd installed ASV for weather. Hooobooy! Tornado weather here I come? :D
