Making FS2000 a/c appear in COF...Pics

Featured Replies

I have a Grumman Avenger set up with Ttools doing some flights. The plane shows up as per schedule but is only visible in spot plane view as an AI plane. If I go into cockpit view or VC view my AI plane disappears. Is there any way that I can make the model appear by tweaking the cfg or something similar?Pic one is spot plane view with the AI plane in the forground. Pic 2 shows me slewed back and clearly the AI plane is invisible.Thanks,Adamhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/121423.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/121424.jpg

It is not uncommon even for FS2004 GMAX aircraft (such as any of Mike Stone's) to only appear in spot plane view. The only way to see such aircraft from the cockpit or the VC is if the aircraft was made with external parts visible in those modes. If not, there is no way unless you have the source and the tool used to make the source (such as FSDS or GMAX) to make those parts visible in cockpit or VC view.-John

If you really want an AI Avenger, the one from CFS2 looks good and works well.Todd

Thanks for the info gentlemen! Interesting observations John.I'm going to look for the AI avenger Todd. I wonder if there is a paint kit available. If not I can just copy the texture and repaint it by hand. I made a static model of the Avenger but the mapping was too difficult. One of the sceneries I'm making, CYFC Fredericton,NB, has several TBM's parked there. In fact, as far as I know, until a few years ago, Fredericton had the largest collection of them in the world. They are used for insecticide spraying as well as fire fighting to the best of my knowledge. Hence my desire to have them as part of my scenery.Again, thanks for the help!Adam
