July 21, 200520 yr Hi All,anyone know why this happens at all, or what can be done about it,thanks,http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/122796.jpg
July 21, 200520 yr Quite a few posts on the subject--quite a few theories. Believe me, what you show in your picture isn't as bad as it seems for some. The blurries are more likely to happen the faster you move through scenery and the more you switch views. There's only so much room for textures in memory, and there's also time required to fetch the textures off of the hard drive. The cpu and graphics card are juggling many things and have to swap out more and more textures the faster you fly. Are the blurries really bad? In the extreme they are, but visit airliners.net and compare what you see there to what you've posted. The ground will blur as it fades into the distance. Fly over real world Florida in the Summertime, and even in clear skies, patches of ground will seem to blur and clear at random.Anyway, I avoid them by keeping view switches to a minimum, especially when low to the ground. In spot view, I avoid panning rapidly. You can also (In FS9) assign a key combo to reload scenery textures. One user here has the scenery texture reload assigned to his joystick fire button. After a few seconds and a paused flight, the textures look sharp again. -John
