Picture this USA 2005 ... come back bluries ... come back stuttering - everything is forgiven because the radio will drive me insane!- Welcome to Microsoft RADIO Simulator -I'm again busy flying around the world and eversince I entered USA airspace there is something that I have not picked up anywhere else in FS9 - the frequency at which you have to change your radio. Just to illustrate this I wrote it down:I did two relative short flights from KORD to KCLE to KPHL and this is the picture:At KORD from T/O to TOC I had to change my radio 27 timesFlight: 19TOD to touch down: 17(63 radio freq changes)At KCLE from T/O to TOC - 21Flight - 22TOD to touch down: 19(62 radio freq changes)If I was the F/O doing the radio, I will go completely insane because in between all this my AI traffic was set to 50% and you do not want to know how many times I heard the same voices over and over and over again.I know how airspaces work and why the different freq's but this is only the times that I had to change to freq, not level changes, or heading, or to be on the look out for other traffic or clearances.(sigh) - beam me up Scotty and take me to a place where I could fly in real weather with more or less realistic IFR radio flying because it is called Microsoft FLIGHT Simulator and not Microsoft Radio Simulator!Terblanche
