Upgrading to windows 10, fix PMDG problems?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Upgraded from windows 8 to 8.1 a wile back and immediately ran into problems with my PMDG 747-400X and MD-11X as I get two error messages when starting FSX about a PMDG DLL file:

Error

Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third-party software program (add-on):

Name: PMDGOptions Dynamic Link Library
Version: 10,0,61355,62
Company: <Unknown>
File: PMDG\DLLs\PMDGOptions.dll

Do you want to run this software (not recommended)?

To avoid seeing this message in the future, uninstall this program or disable its ability to start when running Flight Simulator. For more information about third-party programs, contact the publisher or see http:\www.fsinsider.com.

Yes No

Then when loading the aircrafts in question FSX crashes after selecting the MD-11 or when selecting the 747-400X it gives me these messages and then crashes,

PMDG_747400_Main.DLL cannot find PMDGOptions.DLL.

OK

PMDG_747400_ACS.DLL cannot find PMDGOptions.DLL.

OK

PMDG_747400_Overhead.DLL cannot find PMDGOptions.DLL.

OK.

Are wondering if upgrading to windows 10 might solve these problems?

Help requested.
