FSX keeps resetting controls

I've searched this forum for a solution but to no avail. 

I love flying with my xbox controller, and I assigned the look (snap) to the D-Pad, X for arm spoilers, L shoulder to increase flaps, and R shoulder to decrease flaps, and back key for gear. 

I am using a wireless xbox controller, and it's all great until I'm doing long haul in IVAO, and the controller turns off, and when turning back on, FSX resets the controls all to default. This is incredibly annoying, and I can't take the time to re-assign the controls while flying in IVAO with ATC. 

I really need a solution to keep FSX from resetting the controls.
