VERY Interesting / Older Flight Sim Article

Featured Replies

I have never seen this article and don't remember ever seeing about it here so I thought others may be interested to read this. It is about how "REALISTIC" Flight Sim is and the security it may "breach".I was particularly humored & fearful with this paragraph:"the hijacker later explained that he was an avid flight-simulation fan who commandeered the plane to try his hand at the real thing. "I wanted to soar through the air," said Nishizawa, 28, according to police. He had planned to fly the jumbo jet under Tokyo's Rainbow Bridge."Here is the link:http://www.temple.edu/ispr/examples/ex03_07_23b.htmlCarmine http://forums.avsim.net/images/wave.gif

That is an interesting article there. "Are Flight Simulators too realistic? Well, no I think in the future there is going to be even more realistic than today. I think there is alot worse software out there than FS. The idea that terrorists use FS possibly using it maybe, but they did suceeed going to a flight school and flying a plane at one of the professional flight simulators. The school should have stopped that if they were using it for destructive purposes. For FS simmers at home, I don't think it should be a concern and anyone who desires to fly, well, fly by all means. It is just like TV. There is hundreds of bad programs that relate in murder, etc. etc. Bottom line is: People have to take responsiblity of there actions, and TV or PC programs CANNOT be blamed for irresponsible behaviors. just my 2 cents.regards.
