August 15, 200520 yr Hey all I was flight yesterday out of JFK late in the afternoon around the time we had a really overcast sky with some lighting storms comming in and I updated the weather for my flight and it indeed was cloudy and overcast but I noticed if I was in the Spot Plane view I noticed that my plane cast a shadow on the runway even though it was completely cloudy and when I rotated my view at one point it would kinda white out like your looking directly at the sun. This seems to me a small thing but is there a freeware or payware software that contains more realistic weather or fix this?thanksPaul
August 15, 200520 yr I know the feeling. I think the best way to solve the problem is to do like I did and install a "shadow gauge" into your plane. I have the gauge and the instructions for installing it, but I can not remember where I got it ( probably here on Avsim as its my main site} Send me a e-mail and Ill send it to you. Jerry cwo4 (email to [email protected].... put SHADOW GAUGE in the title or it will get lost in my "spam filter". see phot below.
