Fs91 upgrade won't install

Featured Replies

After a complete uninstall and reinstall of fs9 I checked under the help tab and found that the upgrade did not show up. I downloaded it again and tried to install it but I get an error message saying the upgrade is installed and it won't go forward. I found an uninstall icon in the fs9 directory, ran it, still no joy. I uninstalled Fs9 and reinstalled again, still no luck. Anyone have any ideas? JamesJ

Greetings James! It's basically a matter of RTFM. However, I can help you out in a few words, so why not (grin)?! Just delete the BACKUPS folder in your FS9 root folder. It's that folder that makes the upgrade believe it's already installed.Have fun!Jaap Verduijn.

the first time I installed the patch it took 3hrs and seemed to stall several times but didnt I just let it go.second time it took 30 sec

Thank you very much, sir, I would have read the manual if I had seen one, but nothing like that appeared. Anyway all is well. Thanks again..JamesJ

You're welcome!Jaap.

I have the file FS9updatereadme.rtf in my main FS9 folder. I think it installed when I downloaded and installed the patch, or I might have done it separately (don't remember). In any event, you should be able to find it on the FS web site. Well worth the time to read it, addresses many possible problems folks could have and how to avoid them.HTH,Paul
