one flight by default always running when I start FS9

Featured Replies

I installed the Victoria Falls scenery from the file library and now when I start FS9 I am paused in mid flight over the falls and I was wondering how can I stop this from happening?thanksPaul

I'm not sure if this is the 'correct' way to solve your problem but it should do the trick.Set your ideal starting flight up (ie, choose your preferred aircraft, starting situation etc)Save the flight and remember to click on the little checkbox labelled "Make this the default flight" (might not be exact wording)Edit your fs9.cfg, and change this line:SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=0toSHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=1Hopefully that should do it!

On my system, that line in fs9.cfg controls whether or not I see the menu before the flight begins. If it didn't help on your system, I'm not sure what the problem is, sorry :)
