Hi,

My family has one desktop that's shared primarily between me and my Mom. I built the desktop to handle modern gaming and simming, but since I also have a laptop which I can use for email, websurfing, and light gaming, I let my Mom use the desktop most of the time.

The problem is this: when I want to fly a sim on the desktop (my laptop can't handle it), I have to pull out the keyboard tray, lock it into place, pull out my HOTAS, hook it up, and when I get into the sim, I have to make sure that hooking up my HOTAS again hasn't re-routed the HOTAS controls inside the sim. This may not seem like a lot of trouble, but I rarely fly a sim for more than an hour because I don't want to deprive my Mom of her only computer access. For an hour of sim time, this feels like a lot of hardware hassle to go through every time, so I end up not simming much at all when it's all said and done with. Has anyone else encountered the same problem, and if so, how have you solved it?
