August 24, 200520 yr Hi there, can anyone please check this flightplan: LIML - LFPO? If i select auto generate, it starts with MAL5C.ARLES SID. But the first waypoint (D176D) is far away from LIML, exactly 273 nm So, what to do in this case? v2.2.1 here, along with latest 508 navdata thanks in advance Luigi ;-)
August 24, 200520 yr I have FSbuild 2.2 and i am also a litlle disapointed. What i usually do is making a flightplan with routefinder, and copy and paste this in fsbuild and then you have a reallistic route, and let fsbuild do the performance of your aircraft. Fsbuild has no updated sid's and stars, i guess there is the problemms with strange route to and from airports.rickPent 3.2 1024 htasus p4c800 deluxehd 200gb 4 partitionsati 9800pro 256 cat 5.8 ATTools21"IIyama crt19" relisys crtwin xp sp2 CH yoke + pedals+ dell laptop for asv ivae etc
August 24, 200520 yr Hi Rick,at least i'm not alone...this is RouteFinder FP; now i should change SID/STAR with real ones. But how can i accomplish that in FSB2? If i select MAL5C.ARLES SID the problem is there again! Thanks for helpingLuigiLIML SID ARLES UL153 DJL STAR LFPOLIML 0 0 N45
August 24, 200520 yr Sorry Luigi, I can't help you there. Of all the addon's I've purchased over the years, FSBuild was a poor choice and doesn't really deliver what I was hoping for - more realistic flight planning.I'd say 50% of my auto-generate plans are way off the mark, no matter what Navdata I use. I've raised it a number of times with their support, but ultimately it rarely sorts the mess out. I've resorted to using other tools. There was a good article in this months edition of PC Pilot which reviewed a number of flight planning tools which I would recommend anyone thinking or purchasing a flight planning tool should read (although it is too complimentary!).Also, judging from other's comments - I don't seem to be the only one suffering with FSBuild!Del.

August 25, 200520 yr FSNavigator is superb, I use it all the time now. It's still not quite what I want (which is a working usable version of FSBuild), but I like the features FSNav offers.Del.____________________________________________AMD64 3400+ATi Radeon 9800SE 256MB (softmod to 9800 PRO)2 X 512Mb DDR333 Kingston RAM 200Gb Seagate Barracuda SATA 7200 HDD(x32 XP SP2 Home)40GB Hitachi SATA 7200 HDD (x64 XP Pro)Abit AV8 Pro moboSony DVD-ROMLG DVD-RW"How wide the limits stand, between a splendid and a happy land"http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg[/img]
August 25, 200520 yr I agree: FSBuild is very good indeed. Where there are problems in flight plans these are almost always due to errors in the navdata, rarely with FSBuild itself.LIML - LFPO: in this case there is a navdata error with waypoint D176D. Press PM then delete this waypoint then PM again then Build.
August 25, 200520 yr FS Build has navdata available in the forums at their website. I mapped a plan, RJAA to VHHH, and it took me all the way around the other side of the world, it would have been a very enjoyable 11,000 mile journey though, lol. Updated the nav data and it doesn't seem to be an issue anymore
