Aircraft Engines Go Dead When Throttled Back - HELP!

Featured Replies

Hi Folks! One of my favorite aircrafts that I love to fly, the Cessna 421, has its engines go dead every time I throttle all the way back to idle. I originally purchased this aircraft for the FS2002 environment, and I move its aircraft folder from FS2002 to FS2004. I also moved all gauges (those starting with C421* from the respective gauges folder as well.I do get an error on one of the guages as I load the aircraft in FS2004. I do not get the same message in FS2002. The gauge in question does start with C421, but that gauge is present in the FS2004 gauges folder. When I try to bring up the radio stack in the VC mode, it doesn't appear. The error message and missing radio stack are probably related.I don't know if the missing radio stack and the engines dying with the throttle pulled all the way back are connected in any way. If someone has successfully move the Cessna 421 to the FS2004 environment, please let me know if there is any step I missed. The aircraft flies fine other than the missing radio stack and the engine dying problem. BTW: The engines only go dead when the aircraft comes to a complete stop. They do not die at idle while gliding to a landing or rolling down the runway at idle. Weird stuff!Any help you can provide would be appreciated! Thanks!DevilDog_1722

You need to install the FS2004 upgrade available from the Flight 1 website. Once installed your engine cut problems will be history.
