September 1, 200520 yr Hi, I have reinstalled FS9 with SP1. I have noticed that with this new SP the textures at a short distance appear blurry, much more than without the patch. Maybe this is normal, but I can't remember ... There is a line in FS9.cfg that makes far textures more crispy. Can someone point me to the right direction?Thanx a lotRino

Something else that helps is to crank up the anisotropic filtering (AF) on your video card. You can do this in your windows display settings. (There's an advanced button on one of the panels; from there, you should see some tabs, one of which will let you alter settings for DirectX apps.) Of course, you'll take a performance hit...
September 2, 200520 yr thanx for your kind replyIn fact, I had to tweak my ATI card to solve my problem:4x and 8x (AF and AA)are giving me now good textures at a distance (unchecked according to the application)and unchecked AA in FSregardsrino
