Hi allJust wanted to say how good the new server is. At least with my connection (DSL 6000/800)it works like greased lightening! I'd like to say thanks to all the people involved in getting this thing up and running.BestGrahame (EDHL)

Well - our hand was forced slightly in that the server which holds the forum database had a disk fail yesterday. *Not* the one which holds the forum database, but another in the same system... so we've taken the decision to move all the critical services out of that server ASAP, hence the move to this server today. The disk that died *did* have some critical files on it though -- thank heavens we take daily backups of everything! :-) Those files and that service (hosting of distribution files for a couple of commercial addon providers) was back online within 2 hours of the failure. The new server seems pretty happy thus far; the main reason everything is faster is because traffic is not going through the ratelimiter required for the Library. It might also have something to do with the server being obscenely powerful and currently laughing at the current load -- only about 10% of CPU time is being used right now.I'd also like to publicly thank our consultants Marina and Laura for their help in building and configuring the server, and the very fine crew over at BtNAccess (our colocation and networking provider) for their rapid response to our occasionally testing requests! Thanks to Jon, Tom K and Andy in particular for services above the call of duty!Matt
