B1900D GNS530XP black screen

I recently purchased the B1900D and on my first flight I did nothing but porpoise the whole time, so I decided to give some of the videos out there a try and am going through their checklist and when I get to the GNS530 I can't see anything when I try and turn it on. I've poked around and couldn't find an answer that worked. All I get is a black screen. I ran the install applications that were in the B1900D folder and still cannot see the GNS530.

Any suggestions?

Running Windows 10 FSX steam edition.
