For years, I have read about deleting the FS9 config file ( after backing up of course) and starting FS9 to make a new one, as a way to repair many problems with FS9. I have always felt that this was probably something that was a waste of time, so I never did it. In the last couple of months I started getting Crashes to a black screen about once everyother day to sometimes once a day. I tried everything, and could not find the cause. Finally in desparation, I took the advice and deleted the CFG file and fired up FS9. I have been flying it for days now and it is sold as a rock ( rap on wood :) ). Guess it does work.........

I find rubbing my FS9.cfg with snake oil does it a power of good! :(Allcott

When Im mad with it I write "FS9.cfg" on a roll of TP
