Odd happening in FS9!

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I thought I'd post a tale of a very strange happening in FS last night. I was flying an overnight trip from SFO to LHR in the PMDG 747. During the flight I went to bed and in the morning returned to the computer to prepare for the landing to be faced by a screen showing my desktop, FS was nowhere to be seen except that Taskmanager told me it was still running. So I closed ir down and restarted. Before the intro splash screen I get an FS ERROR message stating that the file dem4km.bgl was missing or corrupted and I should replace the file.I searched for the file and found it in the directory FS9scriptscenerybasescenery folder!Hang on, I thought, that whole scenery directory isn't in the right place, sure enough I had no scenery directory in the main FS directory!Somehow during the night (for it was fine when I started FS before the flight) the whole scenery folder and it's subfolders had moved itself from the root directory of FS and into the SCRIPT directory!Spooky, really spooky... As soon as I moved the whole lot back where it should be, FS started up as usual!CheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif

See what happens when the FS gremlins catch you sleeping? Little buggers. Seriously, that is extremely odd. At least, I've never heard of it. Anyone know what did this?-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!

Just goes to show... A good crew neeeeeeeeeeever leaves the cockpit unnattended on long haul flights. Where was the co-pilot?

Ever seen Twilight Zone: The Movie?

They shut down the system and the poor little co-pilot with it! :-hmmm It's seriously spooky though! I have no idea how it happened. All was fine when I started the computer up to begin the flight, then next time...Error and the whole directory was somewhere else!Weird!CheersTimhttp://members.chello.nl/t.westnutt/realair.gif

Was the copilot Rod Serling by any chance?cue music-JeremyThe Ozark DogfighterHappy Flying!
