Grumman Goose http://windrfters.com/

Featured Replies

Hello, To whom ever can help me please... I read in here somewhere down the pipe about the grumman goose from Bill Lyons... What I read is that it actually simulates icing and things of that nature on the windows or wings.. Can't remember exactly. Could someone confirm this for me? And if so where can I purchase this plane or is it freeware now? I don't know. I looked on this website http://windrfters.com/ and I could not find anything on purchasing the plane. I found software that changes my sim to golden age. It looks nice but I am not interested in changing my flight sim to that era. And if his plane is not available any more does anyone know of a Grumman Goose that is payware with good flight characteristics and detail? Thanks,

Search in the AVSIM file library using "Bill Lyons" under FS2004 original aircraft. You will find the Goose along with his other aircraft now available as freeware.Bud

Great!!! I do think that this is the plane I read about... It actually show's icing on the windows or something like that... Thanks,

The windows and parts of the aircraft skin will ice up when the outside air temperature is below freezing. There is a deice switch on the virtual cockpit (don't know about the 2D). It's a fun plane to fly.Regards,Paul

Wow that sounds pretty enteresting.. I got her just about to start on the install.. Thanks,
