FS Passengers: Is there performance hit and can I run it with WideFS?

Featured Replies

Interested in this product but could not find info at the site or here on the two questions above. It looks like it is a module rather than program, so I think WideFS is out. But I am not sure. My rig is streched to its limits so I am very picky about adding anything that taxes CPU (graphics is ok). Thanks in advance.

no performance hit whatsoever.

Well, there is, but it's microscopic. You really won't notice except on a very marginal system. What most people do notice is that their flying has to get better, fast... :-hahDefinately recommended.Ian P.

hmm I tried the demo, and I noticed less fluidity than norma, (I have a pretty fast rig, check my stats) but maybe because I had been simming a good bit before that and switching planes a lot. I will try it again on a colder start, like I normally do.Cheers

also in the demo, dont you start at a high detail airport? Maybe you've been flying at less detailed and busy airports?Kilstorm

Hello All, From what I can see, there is NO performance hit to your system . . . the performance hit you will get is to your ego as your flying probably won't be up to par with FSP. It WILL make you a better, smoother airline simmer pilot, if you don't get frustrated and delete it before it gets use to you and you get use to it.Even now, sometimes it really ####'s me off when something stupid happens, but all in all it's a pretty neat program and has some interesting plus's. I have enjoyed it, even with it's few problems and use it when I have time to do a complete flight.Best,Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. Thanks all. On your advice I tried the demo, so far so good. This is a great community...bought a $1000 sofa yesterday and sure wished I had a forum to check to see what other owners had to say about it!
