Strange texture problems

Featured Replies

I performed a complete system re-install and FS install on my new SATA HD. I installed UT and BEV. Everything looks very nice, except for a complete blur out in front of the aircraft. There is a radius around the aircraft of loaded textures, but further out, the cut-off of loaded textures is clear and the horizon is a complete blur. Not to mention that some of the textures surrounding the aircraft are slightly blurred. My video card is an Radeon 850XT and I have the Catalyst 5.10 drivers installed. I've switched back and forth on having a page file on the drive that contains FS and the other storage hard drive. It doesn't seem to make a difference.I've tried all of the FS9.cfg tweaks mentioned. I can't think of anything else to possibly try. I've tried reducing the AGP aperture, disabling write caching, nothing making a difference. It doesn't seem that I should have blurry problems with the mentioned video card. My FPS is locked at 27. I do NOT have the FS9 patch installed. Could that make a difference?SpecsWindows XP ProP4 3.0 GHz1024 DDR RAM100 GB SATA HD80 GB ATA 133 HDRadeon 850XTTim

No fix for you Tim, just to say I have exactly the same thing happening. All I did was to let FS9 rebuild the config file. I'm using a GeForce 6800GT with 81.85 drivers. I've posted a question over on the BEV forums. Sure hope someone can help.
