Aircraft Textures Not Displaying

Featured Replies

A while back I had CTD problems with my system and after trying everything without much luck I decided to do a reinstall of FS9. After reloading almost all of the payware and shareware files I had the sim is now running pretty good. Except that some of my planes (i.e. PDMG, and some defaults) aircraft textures don't show up either at the "Select Aircraft" screen and/or once fully loaded. Sometimes a aircraft will have textures on one side of the plane, but will be "greyed out" on the other and in most cases the aircraft textures will be completly greyed out except for the aircraft's tail logo. All my scenery file displays seem to be oK.What would cause this change to occur? Prior to the reinstall all my aircraft textures displayed perfectly. In some flights I've even had the aircraft's full textures suddenly show up in the middle of a flight, but then disappear by the time I land. Does this have something to do with which file type settings opens the BMP.ext texture files? Some of my texture files may have accidently changed during reinstall/reload and are now being opened by "Paint".
