FS NAV and course setting problem

Hello all I am trying to use this great program with the Dreamfleet Barron 58 and I am doing a flight plan through fs nav and i do the auto plot course and then i press F9 when i have a positive climb however the plan does not change course but the alt does change. I am doing something wrong or missed something or is there issues with the Barron?thanksPaul
