Help - Anyone regularly using FSMetar?

Featured Replies

HiJust wanted to ask if anyone is regularly using the freeware weather utility FSMetar. Have been trying it the past few flights - it makes great weather but I have a problem with many pauses sometimes whenever the weather updates.Just wondering if anyone uses this utility regulary and what exactly their setup/version is like.My attempts:FSMetar: Tried V1.5.5, V1.5.4 - Pause problems with both. Now trying V1.5.3. Online update disabled - using only single -z.Txt metar files downloaded manually from Noaa website and opened manually in FSMetar.FSUIPC: Tried V3.40 (Registered with options like in FSMetar manual).Fs Version: 9.0Fs9.Cfg: Have "PanelAsTexture=0" in Display.Nvidia... paragraph for panel flicker problem. Unable to try RenderToTexture=0 (maybe I need a different graphics card driver.O/S: Tried WinXP pro and 98se.Pc: AMD Sempron 2400, GeForce3 Ti200 64Mb, 512Mb RamMany thanks,P.

I get on well with FSMetar 1.50; just tried 1.5.5 but it was annoying the way (on my system) that the whole screen; panel and everything, would 'blink' and refresh everytime the weather updated!I don't have that issue with 1.50.

HiMany thanks - is there any possibility to post V1.50 here because I just don't find it anywhere. I think my problem might be that I run it with 'RenderToTexture=1' - every time I turn this off Fs9 won't run. Have tried like 5 graphics drivers but have another 50-100 to go!Many thanksP.
