Terrain textures flipping randomly

Featured Replies

I'm having a problem that I have never seen before. I'm getting random terrain changes. Meaning, I'll see water one minute and then it will switch to land, and so on. Sometimes there are buildings sitting in water and then I will change the view and often it will 'repair' and become a land texture again. I'm really stumped by this one.I've tried installing the latest video drivers for my GeForce as well as a complete reinstall of FS. No add-ons, even all default settings and 640x480 and I'm seeing this.Is it possible something was corrupt with my previous install that wasn't completely removed? I made sure to delete the FS directory on Program Files as well as the Application Data directory for fs9.

I was able to find some more information about this. There is a thread on the nvidia forums that describes the problem well. Looks to be an issue for the combination of FS+SLI Motherboard+Latest Drivers:http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtop...0&st=0&p=60023&No known fix yet, but workaround is to install older drivers.

I swapped my motherboard for a non-SLI motherboard hoping this would fix the problem, but it did not. I'm hoping new NVIDIA drivers will come out before to long that fix this. Unless someone knows of another workaround.
