I downloaded Shehryar Ansari's scenery for KCLE. There were 3 files needed to update FS9.I installed per instructions however, FS9 fails to reconize the new scenery. I've installed Gary Widups scenery and have had no problems however, I have noticed that with Gary's updates there is a scenery.dat file with each airport. This is missing with the KCLE update.TIA for the help.

Hello, The scenery.dat file is not needed as it is a file created by your own FS install, I have always thought it better that these be left out of the uploads but many developers seem to leave in system files for some reason. As for helping you, I'll give you the step by step instructions for installing just about any scenery to see if it helps you. First place the scenery files into the addon scenery folder of FS9. You should have the following structure: FS2004/addon scenery/CLE2004, within the CLE2004 folder you will have a scenery folder and a texture folder. You might have one or two other folders for trees or something, I can not remember for sure. In the scenery folder should be files that end in .bgl only. All the other files, the .bmp & r8 files go in the texture folder. Of course if you use Winzip to unzip the files into your addon scenery folder everything should go into the correct place. Check to make sure that the files on your computer match what I have outlined above. Next start FS and select settings on the lower left side, then scenery library, then click the add area button, then browse to the folder of the scenery you are trying to install. In this case it would be Addon Scenery/CLE2004, you don't have to go any further than this, once you click on the CLE2004 folder click ok. You will get a message telling you that you have to restart FS2004 to use the scenery so close FS2004, start it again and the scenery should be available for you to use. Follow these steps and then let me know how it goes. Please note the exact steps you take because if it fails again it would help if you tell me step by step what you did.
