Simple but reliable benchmark, son of

Featured Replies

My first query got moved to the hardware forum, presumably because I wasn't specific enough. What I'm actually looking for is a simple but reliable benchmark for Flight Simulator, to test the results of various settings. Benchmark might be a recorded flight, for example.

Sorry my bad--I moved it thinking you were looking for a cpu benchmark.I use SFO to gauge changes to MSFS settings, although others may use a different location. I load the default Cessna, and I don't have any scenery add-ons in the area. Many use the Seattle default flight. In addition though I use Reno as a second test area, since it's on the opposite spectrum scenery detail wise. The two together give me a pretty good idea of the impact changing a setting would have. It's been many months since I've changed settings--and that coincided with the FS9 patch.-John
