I tried to buy an aircraft from FSD. I selected pay by credit card. It would only allow me paypal. Ain't gonna happen. Is this the way they do business? If so they just lost a customer.

You're not required to have a Paypal account. They just use Paypal to process their CC payments.

Just so we don't have to read another long thread on how terrible FSD is, try a search to review all the older ones. :)Cheers!Paul

If so they just lost a customer."I've bought only one product from FSD, but the payment process was painless, registration efficient, and I had zero issues. Nope--I had one issue--I had an excellent aircraft (the Avanti) and I spent hours glued to my PC when I should have been doing something else.To sum up "Is this the way they do business" is the most baiting comment I've seen in a long time. The payment processor a company chooses to use is their right. If you don't like it, that's your right. But please don't come into the forum aiming to start a battle where there isn't any. FSD has great products. The staff I've dealt with--they are great too. Before someone marches in and says moderators should be impartial--we should. But customers can praise a product if they choose too, and I am one of FSD's. If they keep doing business the way they did with me, I'll continue to be a customer.-John

Hi John,Agree with your perspective about a company making their own choice of payment options, and a customer's right to choose as well. But why not just lock this thread now? This seems to be almost a monthly thing, and it rarely unfolds well. Very every person who supports FSD there will be another who posts negatively. It all gets to be a bit tiring.Cheers,Greg

My 2 cents. Maybe the right place for this is at FSD and not in the AVSIM forum. If FSD has to search all the flight sim related forums for potential customers that have a problem with their payment system, they'd have no time to develop the add-ons that they do. Ask them to provide you with a non-paypal payment method for your credit card purchase. If they don't then they've lost a customer. But give them a chance.
