FE.DLL crash problem! help me please!

Featured Replies

Hi,I have fs9.1 and is from a few days that I have crash of fs2004 in fe.dll module. The problem begin with blank textures on objects of the scenery, after the hard disk begin to work hard and a few second later appear the error window of fe.dll module.I have read on this forum a few topic about the fe.dll CTD, sometime the problem became from an incorrect format of textures, the solution, convert this texture from 8 bit to dxt3. Now, from a few days I have installed the Lago flight scenery enhancer (FSE) with various library object colletions. Is possible that this crash problem become from the texture of the objects that's in the incorrect format?Exist a software that convert in one time all textures bitmaps?

I wish I could help, I have not installed lagos scenery enhancer but get crashes with fe.dll now...

I have FSE and know a few people that use it, and no problems. If you have windows XP, try using system restore and see what happens.

I doubt it's FSE. I don't use FSE and I am getting CTDs with FE.DLL errors and (to a lesser extent) TERRAIN.DLL errors. It is so frustrating. I don't think there's any way to avoid it unless you refuse to use ANY 3rd party products, and even then there's no guarantee. If there's one criticism I have of FS9, it is it's susceptibility to faulter easily. I hope this is rectified in their next release!Del.

fe.dll is a microsoft module
