Getting rid of a lake / FTX Global Vector

I am working on a historical scenery and want to get rid of a couple of man made lakes that weren't there in my time frame.  I tried to exclude with a standard water poly exclusion but it does not work.  Are the lakes or water bodies custom vector objects?


The lakes are in the bgl 7525_WTR_waterbodies.bgl.  I could put that into a separate scenery folder and activate/deactivate it in the scenery database, but then also a lot of other stuff and a part of the Mekong would be gone.  Is there any way I could get rid of the lakes?
