December 31, 200520 yr Hi. Does anyone know how to disable the text that pops up while clicking on a switch/gauge? I'm using a touch monitor on a PCI card for some panel functions and the text displaying drops my framerates a bit while clicking. I have the wonderful Panel Studio if that is any help. Just looking for some ideas. ThanksKev
December 31, 200520 yr Hi,Don't quote me on this one, but I think on the main FS settings page there is a pop-up help option.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg
December 31, 200520 yr Thanks Jim. Just to be clear, it's not the text pop-up window that I'm referring to. It's the text that shows up as you position your mouse pointer over an item. I'm thinking the only way to disable this is in Windows somewhere. Hope I'm wrong.
December 31, 200520 yr its in the realism settings of the fs menu, tool tips I think its called? uncheck the box
December 31, 200520 yr OK. Start FS. Open a panel. Any panel. Drag your mouse over a gauge. Say...altimeter. Let go of the mouse. Do you see the word Altimeter? That is what I want to get rid of. I don't think that it's configurable in FS itself. It's not the Flying Tips, Big Al. But I do appreciate your help.
December 31, 200520 yr You can get rid of it! I just don't remember how. Look under the first choice in the Options menu. I think it is called "General." R-
December 31, 200520 yr In FS, click on "Settings", then click on "General", then make sure "Show cockpit Tooltips" is unchecked.Greg
