January 1, 200620 yr Ok, I'm not posting this in hardware, because I don't *think* it's a hardware issue, I could be wrong though... For the last few days, I've been having problems with the rudder control in aircraft. It's like FS 'forgets' the rudder is being activated if it's not being fiddled with... If I apply a certain amount of right rudder for a turn, it works ok for a couple of seconds, then resets to 0 rudder... A tiny little wiggle of the twist-stick pops it back to where it should be, for another couple seconds, then it 'forgets' again. I've looked at what the computer sees from my joystick (Saitek X-52, for the record), and the rudder axis appears constant in control pannel... It doesn't 'forget', the red line stays exactly where I hold it indefinetly. This leads me to believe it's probably a FS issue, or maybe a hardware configuration issue, but I don't know for sure. Anyone have any suggestions? Please? Taxining or landing is an absolute nightmare, as is taking off in any plane that generates much torque, and even basic flight is annoying.
January 1, 200620 yr have you tried deleting your FS9.cfg(make a backup 1st)when you restart fs2004 it will make another one.try that.if you still have the same problem, reinstall your backup fs9.cfg.usually if i have a control problem its the FS9.cfg thats caused the problem.have to say,it sounds like your joystick is on the blink, but i don't know how old it is,so i can't be sure.i use CHpro's rudders along with there yoke and throttle.having seperate controls helps narrow down any problems for me. best wishes steve
