Sound stuck in cockpit

Hello, When i am in the cockpit of both the DASH and 737-8 and start the APU...all the sound is coming in nice and loud...  I switch to outside view and i can not hear the APU or anything else outside  as if i am stuck inside the cockpit enviroment

 

any ideas anyone please
