January 5, 200620 yr I was having a huge problem with extensive stuttering on approach to airports and at random points in a flight. Textures seemed to be loading slowly and it was to the point that FS was almost unusable, despite having a fast system and good video card (ATI 800XT PE). I was very close to a total reinstall but thankfully dug a little further. What I discovered was I had several different traffic files as a result of having tried Ultimate Traffic, MyTraffic, FSLive Traffic (or whatever it is called) and GA Traffic. I ended up going back to Ultimate Traffic and reinstalled the others but the bgl files hung on. Deleting them made a huge difference in performance and the only one I miss is GA Traffic (but I keep hoping Flight1 will come out with a complete package). If you are having similar problems you might take a look at your traffic files. Good luck and thanks to everyone for their helpful suggestions!David
January 5, 200620 yr I have also installed and uninstalled each many times and suspect I have uneeded files.Could you explain where to look and what Im looking for? ThanksBTY- I have mytraffic 2006 installed. I did have UT installed at one time.
January 5, 200620 yr If you search for traffic.bgl in your FS9 directory, you will find the right folder. I can't remember where it is offhand but somewhere buried in the scenery folders. Once you find it, sort the files in it by date modified and all the modified traffic folders should end up together more or less. All of mine had recognizeable names. FSLive added multiple ones with different dates/times. I deleted all the MYtraffic aircraft (as I use UT) and found that FS9 loads much much faster now. You might find the same if you delete the UT aircraft. Good luck
