mouse and joystick double click

I'm not sure if this has been an issue ome else has posted, but I am going nuts trying to figure it out. Every time I click on a light or power switch nothing happens. No other windows such as radio stack or GPS will show unless I select them from the dropdown menu. Then when I click to change the frequency it jumps as if I clicked twice. The flaps operate as if double clicked even with the joystick button.
