January 9, 200620 yr Has anyone tried this utility which is apparently an atlerative to EndItAll and FSAutostart?Regards,Jim
January 9, 200620 yr Haven't tried it as I have no need for an alternative to FSAutoStart, it is too good of a program. Does this one close all un-needed programs and services, start up all needed programs, then shut them down and restart the closed programs and services. I have never heard of SmartClose before. Can you advise what all it does?
January 9, 200620 yr It was favorably reviewed at flighsim. I don't use either program but thought the review was interesting. Check it out over there.Regards,Jim
January 9, 200620 yr Hmmm, not sure when I ever said this:"when admonished by the author that you have every opportunity to screw things up by using this software, I understandably cast a wary eye"all I said was is that if you DO mess something up, all you have to do is reboot.Oh well...
January 9, 200620 yr As a result of the review, I tried Smart Close and I really like it. For some reason FSAutoStart has never appealed to me. I tried it again this morning just for giggles and I think Smart Close is much simpler and easier to use. At least for me.Anyway, that's my $0.02, but I recommend at least trying Smart Close.Bob
January 10, 200620 yr Another happy SmartClose user. A very easy utility to use.http://www.snapfiles.com/get/smartclose.html
January 11, 200620 yr >Thanks for the link to snapfiles.com! Now I can submit my>program there too.Absolutely_ more exposure for your program is a great deal. More choices for the end user is good too. Something for everyone in a style they may find comfortable.
